The Howard County Arc - 6th Annual Career Exploration Day
Local government and businesses employees serve as mentors for young people who have expressed an interest in specific types of work. This event is a project of the Howard County Public School System, Columbia Workforce Center, Howard County Government Department of Citizen Services, The Office of Workforce Development, and the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services.
DORS Annapolis Office Moved!
Effective April 22, 2013, the new District office and Annapolis offices are located at 2525 Riva Road, Suite 101. The new office phone number is 410-974-7604.
Establishing a New Center for Independent Living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland
With the closure of the Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living in May 2013, Maryland must amend its 2011-2013 State Plan for Independent Living in order to keep federal Independent Living funds for a new Center located on the Eastern Shore. Join us for a Public Hearing/Teleconference on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 11:00 am to 12 noon to review the proposed changes.
DORS & MSRC 2013 Public Meetings Summary
The annual DORS & MSRC Public Meetings were held at five different locations around the state (including a teleconference) during the month of April. The feedback obtained from these meetings will be considered as DORS develops its 2014 State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
