About DORS

McKenna Internships

Each year, DORS awards three (3) 600-hour paid internships through the Patrick William McKenna Internship Program to students participating in a master’s degree program in rehabilitation counseling at the University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State University, George Washington University, and other universities.

This intersnhip program was established in memory of Patrick W. McKenna, who served the Division for 31 years and who made significant contributions to the agency and to the careers of many rehabilitation professionals.
