Students first toured the museum to learn about yesterday’s jobs in manufacturing, garment making, transportation, food processing and more. Later, a four-member employer panel talked with them about what the future may hold in several local business areas.
Students took the opportunity to ask questions about educational requirements, salary expectations and job duties.
Joyce Serio, Baltimore County Public Schools transition team leader, observed “The tour showed the students how far the world of work has progressed in the 20th and 21st century. The panel presentation provided valuable insight into current employment trends and the needed skills to survive in this century.”
