Career & Technology Training Overview

The WTC's Career & Technology Training instructors prepare students to go to work with the entry level skills and productivity levels needed for job success.

They provide essential supports and accommodations to maximize success. In addition, individualized instruction assists students who have varying learning styles to reach their employment goals.

WTC offers seven occupational training programs. In order to meet the needs of specific employers and/or industries, WTC also designs a variety of customized/partnership programs with specific employers and post-secondary schools.

Each WTC training program has a business advisory committee, which assures that programs meet employers' needs. Committee members provide advice and information regarding curriculum, employment outlook, current technology and other topics that affect students and programs

Accreditation

WTC is accredited in vocational skills training by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilita-tion Facilities (CARF). WTC instructors possess current teaching certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)..
