Individuals who attend the Workforce & Technology Center (WTC) must be eligible for DORS services and referred by a DORS counselor.  WTC also accepts referrals from other rehabilitation agencies that work with DORS, such as the US Department of Veteran Affairs and the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission.

What to Expect

Referring DORS counselors can give basic information about WTC’s programs and services.  However, for a better understanding, students should tour WTC. Parents or advocates are welcome.

The referring counselor will complete an electronic referral requesting services.  A WTC case manager will contact prospective consumers and the referring counselor to discuss the things that will contribute to success at WTC, including:

WTC's policies and procedures are available online

The case manager will provide the consumer and referring counselor with the starting date of services. The case manager will assist with on-site issues and communicate with the referring counselor throughout the program.
