CLST Overview

The Community Living Skills Training (CLST) Program teaches people with significant disabilities how to increase their independence, self-reliance, productivity and quality of life. It emphasizes skills needed at home, at work and in the community.  

The five-day-a-week program is typically sixteen (16) weeks long. CLST staff teach these skills in at WTC and in community settings.

Students in this program live in a supervised setting at WTC. These dormitories are designed and staffed to meet the unique needs of individuals with significant developmental or physical limitations.  

Program Goal

CLST teaches specific skills and helps to develops the self-esteem and self-confidence that will enable participants to advocate and seek help, when needed, for themselves within their communities. 

The program encourages personal growth and a broad perspective on what life can hold, regardless of disability.
