WTC Substance Abuse Counselors

WTC provides substance abuse support services to assist individuals to maintain a recovery lifestyle as they work toward employment and independence.

Services include individuals substance abuse counseling, group meetings, referral to local AA and NA meetings, and coordination of monitoring.

Individuals who apply for WTC services who have a history of substance abuse must have a diagnostic assessment from a qualified substance abuse professional in the community or from the WTC. The staff also conducts pre-admission conferences to identify the supports and follow-up needed to maintain sobriety at WTC and in the future.

WTC's substance abuse support services are not "treatment." Individuals requiring a treatment program should be referred to community treatment programs prior to referral to WTC.

WTC substance abuse staff also provides staff training and awareness.
