ASL video about WTC services

DORS operates the Workforce & Technology Center (WTC), a rehabilitation center in northeast Baltimore. WTC offers programs and services to help people with disabilities to go to work and to stay indepdendent.

WTC serves people with many kinds of disabilities, including people who are deaf or hard of hearing. WTC has onsite dormitories for those who need them.

If you decide to attend WTC a case manager who works in WTC’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services will be assigned to you.  These case managers know sign language and understand deaf culture.  Some are deaf themselves.

The case manager will attend the admissions interview with you and is available throughout your stay.  They will help you communicate with your teachers and get the most out of the programs and services.

During the day, you can go to WTC's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services to talk with your case manager, ask questions and meet other students who are deaf.
