Brice Miller had thought about many careers over the years that he attended the Maryland School for the Deaf. Ultimately, his strengths in mathematics led him to enroll in the Workforce & Technology Center’s Office Technology/ Computerized Accounting course.
While working as a Quest Intern at the State Highway Administration’s Office of Environmental Design, he used his computer skills (which included database management) to work as an environmental technician. He tracked and managed information about road damage, highway safety, water quality and highway animal accidents.
Brice Miller's employers at the State Highway Administration were so impressed that they worked with their contractor, McCormick Taylor Agency, to hire him after the Quest program ended.
"The Workforce & Technology Center and the Quest Internship Program were the right places for me to start on my career," says Mr. Miller. He says he looks forward to what the future may bring.
