DORS에 전화하셔서 영어로 통화하시기 곤란하시면, DORS에서 통역자를 제공할 것입니다.
DORS에 전화를 거실 때 여러분의 열자리 전화번호와 여러분이 구사하는 언어 이름을 각각 영어로 말씀해 주실 수 있어야 적절한 통역자와 연결될 수 있습니다. 영어를 읽거나 말하는 것이 힘드신 분은 친구에게 여러분의 전화번호의 영어 발음과 '한국어'(Korean)의 영어 발음을 한글로 써 달라고 부탁하신 후 저희가 전화를 받으면 한글로 쓰여진 영어 발음을 그대로 읽어주시기 바랍니다. (예를 들어, 전화번호가 410-123-4567인 경우 '포 원 지로 원 투 쓰리 포 파이브 씩스 쎄븐'이라고 써달라고 부탁하십시오. 또 구사하는 언어가 '한국어'인 경우 '코리안'이라고 써달라고 부탁하십시오.)
저희에게 전화번호와 원하는 언어를 알려주시면 대부분은 전화를 끊지 말고 잠시 기다려 달라는 요청을 받으실 것입니다. 대기하고 계시는 중에 저희가 전화를 끊지 않는다면 여러분도 끊지말고 기다려 주시기 바랍니다.
때로는 통역자가 직접 전화를 드릴수 있도록 전화를 끊으시라고 한뒤 저희가 전화를 끊는 경우가 있습니다. 그럴 경우, 여러분도 전화를 끊으시고 잠시 기다려 주십시오. 통역자가 여러분에게 직접 전화를 드릴 것입니다.
여러분의 언어를 말하는 전화통역자가 여러분의 전화에 연결되든지, 나중에 여러분에게 전화를 드릴 것입니다.
그때 통역자의 도움으로 DORS 직원에게 말씀하실 수 있습니다.
If You Call DORS
If you call DORS, but cannot speak English, DORS will bring an interpreter onto the phone line to help.
You need to be able to give us your 10-digit phone number and the language that you speak in English for us to get the correct interpreter. If you do not know enough English to do this, please ask a friend to write it down for you. Read it to us when we answer the phone.
After you give us your phone number and language, in most cases we will tell you to stay on the line while we get the interpreter on the call. We may put you on hold. Please do not hang up if we do not hang up.
In some cases, however, we may tell you to hang up so the interpreter can call you directly and then we will hang up the phone. Please hang up if we hang up so the interpreter can reach you.
A telephone interpreter who speaks your language will come on the line, or call you back.
Then you can speak with the DORS representative with the interpreter’s help. |
