Step 1: The Application

You can refer yourself to DORS online, by phone or in person.

To refer yourself or someone else online, click here.

To make a referral by phone, contact the nearest DORS office or call 1-888-554-0334.

To make a referral in person, visit a local DORS office or speak with a DORS counselor in one of Maryland’s One-Stop Career Centers

Some DORS offices have group orientation sessions. A DORS counselor will follow-up with an individual appointment.

If possible, bring the following records to the application appointment:

You may bring a support person(s) such as a family member, friend, or advocate to the initial interview and subsequent meetings with DORS staff.
