Each year at the MRA/DORS training conference, we take a moment to recognize the exceptional co-workers, organizations, employers, consumers and partners who epitomize the gold standard in vocational rehabilitation.
The MRA awards and the DORS staff awards will be presented at a catered awards luncheon on Tuesday afternoon. Conference registration includes a ticket to the awards luncheon.
DORS will present the Excellence in Partnership Award to a Maryland community rehabilitation program (CRP), the Personal Achievement Award, which recognizes a DORS consumer who has overcome barriers, and the Employer Leadership Award.
Among the awards the MRA will present are the R.C. Thompson Hall of Fame Award, given to an individual who has dedicated a career or lifetime to advocating for people with disabilities, and the Humanitarian Award, to an individual who has removed environmental or legal barriers, thereby preventing discrimination and supporting the rights and benefits due to every citizen.
