Background
The MSRC was established under provisions of the 1992 Amendments to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
The Council gives advice and works in partnership with DORS to enhance employment services for individuals with disabilities in Maryland.
Responsibilities
The MSRC oversees such areas as:
The Council publishes an Annual Report about the state of public rehabilitation services in Maryland. The report is sent to the Governor, the Commissioner of the Rehabilitation Services Administration in Washington, and to other interested parties.
