Supported Employment

People with the most significant disabilities can often work in competitive work settings thanks to supported employment programs. Supported employment services can be designed to fit individual needs and include job coaching, transportation, assistive technology, specialized job training and individually tailored transportation.

Supported employment moves people toward independence with competitive employment. Ongoing support systems increase employment retention, encourage people to work in their communities and support local economies by moving previously unemployed or underemployed people into work.

Employer Benefits

Employers also benefit from supported employment programs:

Follow-up services occur throughout employment, if needed.
